What is the home water testing kit?

We provide you with the peace of mind of knowing that your water is clean and contaminant free. Our simple kits allow you to test water straight from your tap and from your water filter. You collect the water and then return it to us in the included box. We use the most modern scientific equipment to delve into your water in the finest detail possible. We are able to detect chemicals in your water that are present in trace amounts, levels that cannot be picked up by simple strip tests or titration drops (as used in pool or spa test kits). We look for these small amounts because many chemicals can have long-term toxic effects on humans and animals even when present at small levels. It is important to know that most water districts do not test for many of these chemicals.

Why is it important to test your water?

It is important to test your home water periodically because the information will help you to understand if your water contains toxic contaminants and whether your water filter is removing them. The Hope2o kit will help you know when to change or upgrade your water filtration system. Families that use well water may want to test their water more frequently because seasonal changes in the water table and rainfall may affect your water quality.

How do I read the results?

Hope2o has developed a simple StopLight Alert System to help you to understand what is in your water and what you can do about it. The StopLight Alert System shows you which chemicals are above EPA drinking water limits or are potentially of concern. We provide helpful advice with each readout on specific steps you can take to protect your family.

The StopLight Alert System:
Green – Represents minimal risk for your family’s health
Yellow – Moderate risk to adults; young children and otherwise at-risk adults should be concerned,
Red – High risk to adults and children
